I just found the forum as I was checking out the main BoB site. I am a member of a couple other Bushcraft forums (all as "bubba5603") and like to keep up to date on new information and ideas.

I first taught Survival as a member of 27 Squadron Air Cadets in London after I moved to the city from the wilds of New Brunswick and it has been a passion of mine since then.

Did 13 years in the Canadian Armed Forces and graduated from the Royal Military College of Canada. Spent a great deal of time in the wilds of Canada including an Arctic Warfare and Survival program in Pond's Inlet NWT in the cold of the winter. Loved it and still love the winter, particularily snowshoeing and the lack of bugs!

I currently work for the government but spend as much time as I can with the six kids and four dogs out in the bush. I am also a huge fan of sharp objects and will discuss this to the point of boring most of the people around me (except the other "knife nutters" as my Aussie friends have called me)

I was offered an opportunity to return to Instructing Wilderness Survival and Bushcraft recently by Caleb with his school "Canadian Bushcraft" but have yet to be able to comply as the ability to get extended time off during the summer can be a bit of an issue with my "real" job (as apposed to my "dream job" of teaching)

I am here to learn a lot from others with a shared passion in the outdoors. Thanks for having me and welcoming me to the forum.
