This is something I came up with a while back. Basically anyone can make a firesteel handle if you have access to a Lee Valley for exotic wood pen turning blanks, a drill press, and a few wood rasps/files.
I've made a few more since this, and while they aren't perfect I'm pleased with the results. I usually stain them and seal them with a urathane spray to protect from moisture damage.
